  1. I really enjoyed the magic lesson and the hero's journey lesson. Ms. Jesmer is really good at capturing our attention in a subject and getting her point through. She's also very good making her point clear. I would say to also try and listen to the students ideas and add them into the notes we write (of course if they're good ideas). Have fun being a teacher wish you the best!

She is also very fair in the understanding that we have a lot of homework from other classes so she will not give us any of give us less. I really hope you have great fun being a teacher!

  3. When first hearing about reading A mid summer night's dream by Shakespeare, I was upset cause I don't like reading and reading and Shakespeare made it even harder to get exited about. But throughout reading it in class and getting those explanations by Ms Jesmer I learned to like reading the book a bit more and more everyday. Now I don't dislike reading as much. Those little hints and in class discussions and those explanations of reading between the lines helped me a lot. I honestly don't have any correcting feedback because I found no problem with any parts of her teaching's they were interactive and enjoyable.

  5. I really enjoyed the hero’s journey lesson. Something I liked a lot was that Mrs.Jesmer was laid back and not super strict, she was also very kind towards us. She understood that we had a lot of other homework and always tried her best not to give us any in her class. Sometimes we were having a bad day, but knowing that we had her class to look forward to always brightened my mood. She made class interesting and she knew how to talk to her students and not as if we were little kids. I know she’s going to be an amazing teacher and her next student are going to be super lucky to have her. Have fun being a teacher and I wish you the best :)

  6. I really enjoyed when Mrs Jesmer taught us about the heroes journey. I found that she really made it easy to understand and it was also fun to learn about it. Mrs Jesmer has so many strengths. One of her strengths is that she is very understanding. She can easily relate to us which. Mrs Jesmer is also really good at captivating my attention when she is teaching. Whenever we are talking about something that isn't really fun she manages to make it captivating. Mrs Jesmer is going to be everyone favourite teacher. Thank you for being the best student teacher I have ever had.

  7. I really enjoyed the Hero's Journey and our MSND readings. Her strengths as a teachers are a strong and confident voice when she speaks. Her notes are very informational and fun. My only feedback for her is just to do less writing notes, more computer notes :) She understands students a lot and honestly English is the best class ever!! :)

  9. There were a lot of fun lessons, and even though the halloween party wasn’t necessarily a lesson I really enjoyed it. Also, I really liked the hero’s journey lesson, I found it very intriguing. Ms.Jesmer has a lot of strengths but I really like how she engages the class into what we’re learning. She does this by using movement and changing her tone of voice. For future teaching experiences, I would recommend taking control over your students( which you already do), and also, I would include different students' perspectives and ideas because it can benefit how they understand the lessons/criteria. I would stay the same if I were Ms. Jesmer because she is not strict at all and easy to talk to! I think that we can all agree that Ms. Jesmer will be missed!

  10. I enjoyed it when she was talking about a hero's journey. She is a really good talker and we can understand her easily. She is also very entertaining and keeps us from falling asleep. I think she should keep doing what she does and she will be a great teacher. I hope she can teach us again.

  11. The lesson that I most enjoyed out of Mrs. Jesmer’s time here is most probably the one about the hero’s journey. She is really good at interacting with one another and she is always on track of keeping us all in the zone of English class. She is always making our classes as fun as possible and tries to give us less homework as possible, but we will for sure miss her when she’s gone and hope that she comes to visit us! And best of luck with teaching, soon. :))

  12. I personally really liked when we did the story telling activity because it was an overall really fun activity to do but also, it was very interactive and I liked that and lastly, we got to get up and move around which is fun coinsidering that we're always at our desks. I think that Ms. Jesmer's strengths are that she makes our activities fun wether it's in ethics or english. Second, if you don't understand something, she really tries to explain it as much as she can. Lastly, she's honestly just a very nice and fun teacher, for example, at the beging of the year, I would always give her my rice crackers, she looks at pictures of my dog that I'm getting, etc. I think that if Ms.Jesmer continues to do what she's doing right now, she'll be a really great teacher because she has been such a good teacher with us and I know that I would love to have her as my teacher one day!

  13. I think Ms.Jesmer is a great student teacher and will be a great teacher. I enjoyed using SoundTrap and Pixton to do our projects. I found it was a different interactive way of doing projects . I also enjoyed the story telling activity which was very funny and enjoyable. Ms.Jesmer is very good at making the class interesting and making us want to participate. She would also try her best to avoid giving us homework besides the blogs. I think Ms.Jesmer is a great teacher and doesn't have much to improve.

  14. Ms Jesmer is a great teacher! Im sure she will go far in the teaching world. I liked all the classes with her even if we were just taking notes. She knows how to make the class fun and interesting without trying too hard. She can explain things in a way that isn't too difficult to understand, and does it well. I think the best lessons were the heroes journey one and just reading Beowulf. I wish her the best :)

  15. Ms Jesmer is really good at making the lessons fun and not stressful so I always felt relaxed and calm when it was english class.I really love how Ms Jesmer and Mr Katz always checks in on us and lets us talk at the beginning of each class it makes it start off on a good note.I Really like how lately we've started using Pixton since im a very visual person.I think Ms Jesmers strengths are that she knows how to explain something and make it clear she's also very understanding.

  16. For me there were no particular lessons that I prefered but I did really enjoy reading AMSD and I understood it better because of when Ms.Jesmer would review what we just read for parts with really Shakespeare writing and I think that allowed me to comprehend what was happening in the story. Ms.Jesmer is definitely really good at summarizing and explaining and I have nothing to critique/feedback on Ms.Jesmer's work ethic. For me there was nothing that Ms.Jesmer was lacking in her teaching skills and is a great teacher.

  17. I really enjoyed the Hero’s Journey lesson because we got to read a book that wasn’t a play. As well I got to learn the structure of most movies that I watch and books that I read. Ms. Jesmer you are a great teacher and some of your strengths are that you know how to command a class and make sure they are doing their work. Some feedback I would like to give you Ms. Jesmer is that I feel you give too little time for students to finish their work. Have fun being a teacher, we will miss you.
*Ms. Jesmer I’m sorry if you don’t like my feedback.

  18. I REALLY enjoyed having Mrs.Jesmer as a student teacher. She is so good at explaining and making things more interesting and fun in class. I loved doing MSND with her because she really explained when something didn’t explain. But even her as a person when she’s not teaching, is one of the nicest people i've ever met. She never fails to put a smile on my face. Off topic, but I just started crying while writing this because i'm sad she’s leaving :( Anyways, Mrs.Jesmer if you’re reading this, thank you for an amazing three months. I feel so honored to be one of the first classes you’ve ever taught. You’re going to be such an amazing teacher in the future. I’m going to miss you so much. Good luck with your teaching journey!! <3

  19. I liked almost all the lessons with Ms.Jesmer, I find she is very cheery and good at keeping a happy mood even when we are all whining about failing a test. I'd say that she would always give a very simple to understand answer when you ask her a question unlike some teachers who basically just repeat the question in a fancy way.I'd say she doesn't need any advice because she's already doing great and it really can't be improved much because she's just naturally really good at it.

  20. To start off, I personally never look forward to any class, but I have always looked forward to english and ethics class. The moment Ms Jesmer walks into the room she brings such a positive energy that basically none of our teachers can give off. Usually students don't like student teachers that much but Ms Jesmer has become one of my favourite teacher's I have ever had. She explains things in a way that we all want to listen because she never fails to catch our attention. My favourite part about Ms Jesmer is that she listens to us and how she laughs at our jokes and ridiculous sayings. She is a natural teacher (if that makes sense) she never fails to put a smile on our faces at least once per class and we all do well so that's saying something. I have no advice for her besides keep smiling and doing what you're doing because you are an incredible teacher. Let's just say her last day will be emotional. Good luck in the future and try and try come back to St Thomas! :))

  21. I especially liked the lesson about storytelling when we all go to tell each other stories and some of them were really good. I think miss Jesmer is really good at keeping everyone's attention and making the assignment fun even if it's actually really boring. I think that miss Jesmer is going to be the best teacher and that she should come be our new sub.

  22. I truly didn't have a favourite lesson . Almost all of the english lessons were like a break from the hard and annoying day and I knew even if we had a lot of work to do I would have still been in a good mood and not stressed unlike my other classes. I think one of Miss Jesmer's biggest strengths besides being very good at what she teaches she also does a good job of connecting with us students and making us have something to look forward to at school.

  23. I personally liked all the lessons with Ms. Jesmer, and I feel that in the future, she will become a great teacher. She knows how to keep things interesting and knows how to keep our attention when teaching a new lesson. Ms. Jesmer knows how to speak to us in a way that we will understand and we can always ask her anything if we need help. In general, I think she will be a teacher that people will enjoy having every day.

  24. I don't have one favourite lesson, I enjoyed a lot of them! English class is my favourite class because I find it relaxing, fun and not stressful at all (the opposite of all our other classes). Mrs. Jesmer's classes were always so fun and she would never bore us, she is also very good at what she teaches and understands and explains topics very well. Mrs. Jesmer was such a good student teacher and I know that she is going to be an amazing teacher one day!
