I love sitting with my family and watching Christmas (Holiday) movies.
Hearing my kids LAUGH during Home Alone or Elf is PRICELESS!

Hearing my kids LAUGH during Home Alone or Elf is PRICELESS!
For this blog, tell me about your favourite Christmas movie and/or song.
Why is it your favourite? When did you first start watching/listening to this movie/song?
Explain.
I love all Christmas movies but my favourite right now is Noelle. Noelle is one of my favourites because it stars a famous actress that I really like, Anna Kendrick. Basically, Santa's daughter must take over the family business when her father retires and her brother, who is supposed to inherit the Santa role, gets cold feet. Noelle has always had to support and encourage her brother Nick, who was ordained to take over as Santa. It shows women empowerment and it’s also really funny. I watched last year and I really enjoyed it and I just watched it again yesterday and it was still amusing and a great movie. I will definitely watch it again during our Christmas break!
ReplyDeleteI saw the preview for that. I have never watched it but now the way you put it, I think I'm going to watch it. Great blog.
DeleteChristmas movies a a part of what Christmas so magical. One of my favourite Christmas movie is a classic. I love frosty the snowman. The first time that I Watched the movie was when I was about 5 years old. My mom , my sister and I were making Christmas cookies. While they were rolling out the dough I went to watch TV and it was on. I ended up watching the whole thing. I loved it so much. Now I watch it every year. I think it is one of my favourites mostly because every time I watch it think about that moment.
ReplyDeleteI always loved the Frosty the Snowman theme song. Good blog!
DeleteChristmas cookies and Christmas movies just hit different together. Great blog!
DeleteI love Frosty The Snowman as well, great blog!
DeleteI find the comedy of Christmas movies can be the best sometimes like in home alone when Kevin (the main kid) uses the tv to order pizza and scare him away. I think these movies are trying to make us feel better by adding these. I can't remember the first time I watched it but I do know I must have been 5 or sometimes around that age. This is my favorite Christmas movie because , when I was smaller I liked it for the traps that Kevin sets up . Now I enjoy it because of the story with "the shovel guy" and how they where both scared of something and got to conquer that fear together.
ReplyDeleteThat's a interesting theory that you think they add comedic parts to "make us feel better" and is believable.
DeleteHome Alone is a classic. Good taste and good blog
DeleteMy favorite Christmas movie has got to be The Muppets Christmas Carol.Firstable if you don't know what the Muppets Christmas Carol it's basically the movie Scrooge (My second favorite christmas movie and my favorite christmas movie plot) but with the muppets and I loved the muppets when I was a kid because I grew up watching them, so put those two things together and you got my favorite christmas movie. I first watched the movie when I was about eight and I feel like if I watched it again it wouldn't be as good as I remembered.
ReplyDeleteI loved the Muppet's as a kid I never knew they made a movie that's so cool, Great job.
DeleteI watched the Muppet movie with the evil Kermit, with my brother and he loves the part reg Kermit goes to the russian or around there, prison
DeleteMy favourite holiday song is a classic. Its called Man with the Bag by Kay Starr. I love hearing this Christmas song because in my opinion Christmas classics are the best type of Christmas music. Every time I hear this song it instantly gets me singing along and it gets stuck in my head all day. Also the all time best Christmas movie is Elf. I watch Elf every year a few times with my family, it's a family favourite. So far this year though I haven't been in the Christmas spirit yet without snow. As much as snow is cold and not needed it fuels my holiday spirit.
ReplyDeleteI love classic Christmas songs too! They're so catchy! Great job on your blog!
DeleteI can't get into the holiday spirit either without snow, hopefully it comes soon!

ReplyDeleteI’m a sucker for classics when it comes to Christmas movies so it’s hard to pick just one favourite so anything made in the 1990’s or early 2000’s definitely are in my top 10. Some of my favourites are the first two Home Alone movies, Polar Express and Mickey’s Christmas Carol. They all bring me a sense of serotonin and nostalgia and remind me of my childhood.
Another movie I always end up watching during the holidays is Ratatouille. I know it literally has nothing to do Christmas or any type of holiday but somehow I always end up watching it during these times, even since I was kid.
I love the Christmas movies made 1990's and early 2000's too, great blog!
DeleteMy favourite Christmas movie would have to be Home Alone. It's so funny and I love all the pranks Kevin pulled. I love watching it every year with my family because we get to spend time together! I also like the Hallmark Christmas movies on tv. I have way too many favourite Christmas songs, I just really love Christmas music in general. But if I had to pick the one I listen to the most, it would be All I Want For Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey. As soon as the clock strikes midnight on December 1st, Christmas music is all I want to hear.
ReplyDeleteI also love Home Alone, it's hilarious!
DeleteMy favorite Christmas movie is probably Home Alone series or a Christmas rom-com (any will do ;) I love Home Alone because the comedy and the plot gives me evil vibes and that inspired me a lot. I'm home alone a lot when I was young (don't worry I was supervised I think...) I would sit and watch any Christmas movie that came on TV around December and it was the best with my brother. It's just a good memory from childhood. I like rom-coms because my cousins and aunties and I would watch Christmas rom-coms until 1am around Christmas time after exams ended. We always tried to carry the tradition every year!! Not this year though...
ReplyDeleteyes! christmas rom-coms are amazing and cheesy at some point :)) carrying traditions with family and friends are always a fun thing to look up to!
Deleteyeah, Home Alone is so good in general, the traps and jokes are great.
DeleteTo me, all Christmas/holiday movies are amazing! But my all-time favourite holiday movie is Elf. It’s now a classic, celebrating its 17 years since release! Getting old, but still a favourite holiday classic for many. Me and my family every time of year and never get bored of it, we like watching holiday movies all year round and it’s super fun to spend time as a family to have some quality time together. Elf is for sure a family favourite for us!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite Christmas movie is Home Alone 2. I remember being little and watching that movie on repeat with my brother and older cousin. It's still funny to this day and that movie really makes it feel like Christmas time. I also love all the cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies, even though they are literally all the same I still love them and they put me in the holiday spirit. My favourite Christmas song is Last Christmas by Wham! I remember being about seven and my dad playing it and I absolutely loved it. Not gonna lie I listened to it a few times during quarantine :)
ReplyDeleteI agree that movie's so funny! Great blog!
DeleteMy favourite Christmas movie is Home Alone. The first time I watched it was when I was really young, around 4. Me and my sister would wtch it over and over again. Even me and my friends still binge watch it all the time, not only during christmas! Even to this day it never gets old. Sadly I can't watch it with all my friends this year but I still love the movie!
ReplyDeleteSame home alone is the best. Great blog!
DeleteMy favourite Christmas movie is definitly Home Alone, I loved when I was around 7 and I would watch him set up all the traps and I found it so funny whenever someone would trigger one. It was definitly my favourite movie by far, but Elf was a really good movie, I have watched it a lot, but it is still good no matter how many times you watch it, because the amount of cringe and overall stupidity is hilarious.
ReplyDeleteI don’t really listen to many christmas songs, but I do watch a lot of christmas movies and my favorite is Frosty The Snowman. There’s just something about this movie that makes me smile, I watch it every year and I’ve been watching it since I was little. I think that over the years, I just continue watching Frosty The Snowman because it’s one of those movies that just make me happy.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite Christmas movie is Home Alone. I love this film because it is hilarious and because the storyline is very interesting. I love that this movie is about a boy that is left home alone and has to defend his home from burglars. I don’t remember when I first watched this movie but it will always be a Christmas favourite.
ReplyDeletehome alone is hilarious definitely a Christmas fav too!
Deletehome alone is hilarious definitely a Christmas fav too!
DeleteMy favourite Christmas movie is The Muppet's rendition of a Christmas Carol. It's hilarious and it's good for all ages. I love the characters that they used for the characters from the original story. I watched a few times when I was really young, but my most recent viewing was last year. I watched it with my family, and we were laughing the whole time
ReplyDeleteMy favourite christmas movie is either the original Grinch, Die Hard, nightmare before christmas or Gremlins, but if i had to choose i would probably choose Die Hard. I was probably 9 and brother was 6 when my dad showed us that movie. It is my favourite because I have a lot of good memories decorating the tree while watching Die Hard. My family watches this movie every year even when it isnèt christmas. It is probably one of dad’s favourite movies ever.
ReplyDeleteI love love loveee Christmas it's my favourite time of the year it just makes me so happy! My family's holiday's consist of basically Christmas movies, songs and of course cookies. I could talk about that all day but if I were just to choose one Christmas song it would for sure be Last Christmas by Wham. It's just such a good song with a true story behind the meaning. My mom and I could just keep it on repeat for hours and not get annoyed. I think I like it so much because of the amount of times she's played it while I was growing up.
ReplyDeleteI love Christmas movies and easpecalry Christmas songs. I love screaming them on the top of my lounges with my friend at night the best. One of my favorite Christmas songs is the song mistletoe by Justin Beber but I love all of them. I can honestly not pick one Christmas movie that is my favorite but some of my favorites that I watch every year are elf and home alone. Wanting those movies at Christmas is like a tradition for me. When we go over to my aunts and uncles for christmas eve without fail those to movies are always playing.
ReplyDeleteI love to watch Christmas movies. They are fun to watch with friends and family. My favorite Christmas movie is the original Home Alone movie with Kevin who gets forgotten at home alone. My favorite part is when the bad guys have to go through all of Kevin's creative homemade traps and then get arrested. I first watched it at my grandparents house on cable TV and I really enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteI love christmas movies they get me excited and in the holiday spirit.Me and my family are very into Christmas and love all the festivity's .My favourite Christmas movie is elf because it always gets me in a good me and has a nice story that everyone can enjoy. My favourite part of elf is when he goes to work with his dad because it reminds me of myself I feel like that's how I would act if I went to my dads work.e3
ReplyDeleteElf is my favorite too. Great blog!!
DeleteI love watching Christmas movies with my family. My favorite is watching elf with them almost every year on Christmas eve. Hearing my dad laugh when Buddy does something stupid just warms my heart. Plus when he laughs super hard, it's the funniest thing in world. Also listening to the Mickey mouse cast singing a Christmas song with my brother makes me so happy because we have been singing it every Christmas since we were younger.
ReplyDeleteI love watching Christmas movies. It always makes me remember simpler times where I didn't have to worry about grades or homework. My favourite movie to watch is Elf, because I used to watch that movie over and over for the whole month
