Last week, GameStop saw a HUGE rise in their stocks.
This is due to the increase of VIDEO GAME purchases and playing over the course of the year.

There are a lot of video games in my house my brothers love them. I kinda grew up on a bit of video games cause my brothers wanted me to try and we have been through many consoles and now my brother owns the PS5. I tried this spiderman game and it was kinda intresting and they try to teach me how to play and some games are fun. Over all the games my brothers have made me try Spiderman Miles Meralis was the best one.

DeleteI wouldn’t say I was a huge fan of video games but once in a while I like to play with my friends. My friends usually force me to play fortnite, rocket league or even roblox with them. It’s fun to play with them and meet new people. Once the pandemic ends I definitely think that video games are going to remain popular because they are just so addicting. Also, I think many video games are going to be revived, like rocket league was. Rocket league wasn’t that popular before the pandemic but now everyone is playing it.

Deletei really do love video games, but not the kind of gun games and things like that. i have many video games in my house mostly because of my brother and my dad. but now i've been getting interested in them because my brother has been trying to teach me how to play some sort of zelda game. but now that my mom bought this game called animal crossing:new horizons, it's become my literal new obsession!! animal crossing is absolutely the most relaxing and calming video game i've ever played, and it's also really adorable! i started it right after christmas because that was when my mom bought it for my me and my siblings, and now i can't stop!

DeleteThis actually isn't due to the fact that people haven't been buying video games. This was due to a subreddit called wallstreetbets. In the stock market, rich people can bet on stocks that will fail. Wallstreetbets noticed this, and quickly started investing in gamestop, pumping up the stock price, and making the billionaires lose most of their money. All in all gamestop has never been contributing to the game market that much, they had been failing for years, more being sony, microsoft, and nintendo carrying the industry to where it is now. On other topics, I LOVE VIDEOGAMES SO MUCH. I play a lot of them. Some of them being Stardew Valley, Minecraft, Rocket League, Cuphead, Hollow Knight, and a lot more. Video games have and will continue to be popular as long as game developers continue to innovate.
ReplyDeleteI don't really play video games. Sometimes I play them when I go to my friends house. They make me play 2k, call of duty and minecraft. I think after the pandemic video games will still be popualr because they always have been.

ReplyDeleteI don't know about GameStop lmao, i wanna ask my brother but im scared of him so i cant tell you anything. About video games though, I occasionally enjoy playing video games, me and my brother we would play on nintendo DS and 3DS growing up, playing you know Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Pokemon. I was a huge Animal Crossing fan growing up, still am :) Animal Crossing, Minecraft, Pokemon are the games I enjoy :D Once the pandemic ends, video games will always remain popular. I'm a huge nerd. End of story :)

DeleteI do enjoy playing video games but I prefer playing on PC instead of Xbox and PS4 because I have more experience on PC. I don’t particualy have a favourite video game but I like playing car racing games and shooting games. I don’t have a favourite though because I like to experience them all. One game I do want to try in the near futur is GTA. I think video games would have remained popular regardless if a pandemic happened but COVID-19 definitely pushed people to start playing them just because there wasn’t anything other to do.

DeleteBoy do I love video games. I've played them for a super long time. The first video game I played was Angry Birds back then when I was three. Angry Birds was a big part of my childhood. I used to have every version of the game. Then I started playing on the Wii, with Mario Kart, Super Mario Bros and Super Smash Bros. I played that for a while and then I got a SNES. I played Kirby, Contra, Earthbound, Super Mario RPG. I played on that for a while and then got a PlayStation. I play Street Fighter V, Apex Legends and some other stuff. I mean, video games have always been super popular. But with the pandemic, you can't do much but you can play video games. Video games might even be more popular after the pandemic because there were so many new games and consoles that were released during the pandemic.

DeleteYes I absolutely love video games, thats what I spend every single of my weekends doing have have been doing so for years. My taste in video games really changes but overall Minecraft, call of duty games and horror games will usually be my go to games. This might be a weird topic but yes I think that its possible that if we have been playing games since the start of covid a lot more since thats one of the few things we can do when its over a lot of people might want to go out and do REAL stuff because we haven't done that in a while.

DeleteI don't know much about video games. My brother and cousins are always playing them and when they force me to play I look like an idiot because I just don't get it at all even if they try to teach me for hours. The only video game I have ever really played is the NHL games. My older cousin, brother and I have tournaments on it a lot and I always lose. I personally don't find video games fun. When I play around and with people is fun. Let's just say I'm so bad my friend gave up trying to teach me among us. I kinda wish I was better at them so I could maybe beat my brother and cousins. I think video games will be popular forever and even after the pandemic they'll still be super popular.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really big fan of video games. I've only really played 5 times for real. And I'm a very competitive person, so when I die or lose, it's not a very good thing and I have to stop myself from throwing the controller across the room. Since I don't play video games that often I don't think I have a favourite one, but if I had to choose it would be Mario Odyssey on the switch. I don't that video games will be used or will remain popular after the pandemic. People might get tired of them or since people aren't busy now and have nothing to do now, after the pandemic there will be more things to keep people busy.
ReplyDeleteI don't really play video games except for when I go to my cousins house.We play on X box together with my other cousins and it's really fun. The games we play consist of Forza and call of duty. I think that once the pandemic ends video games will still stay popular because they were already popular before the pandemic. They got really popular during the pandemic because people stayed home a lot more and they needed entertainment. They also got really popular when the new PS5 came out.

DeleteWe don't have any video game consoles other than a Wii and some mobile games. The Wii is very old and doesn't work well and is very blurry. I would like to get a better console but my mom doesn't want us to have any. My favorite video game is probably Minecraft which I play sometimes. I think that even when the pandemic is over video games will still be popular.

DeleteI personally don’t really like playing video games. I think that video games are a waste of time. I enjoy reading and watching TV. I will never understand how people can play with controllers and all these different techniques need to play a video game. Video games are very confusing and the few times I’ve tried to play them, it didn’t end up well. I think video games will remain popular whe this pandemic is over because when you do something and you enjoy it, you will most likely become addicted. I’m addicted to reading and watching TV like others are to video games. I will never stop doing what I love so the same will apple to people playing video games after the pandemic. People will have become so addicted to playing video games that they will not stop.

ReplyDeleteOccasionally I like to play video games, in school I like to because if it's a free class or boring then it's a great way to waste time. I don't have a personal favorite video game but when I was younger it was a whole bunch of Wii games like Mario Bros, Mario Kart, Wipe Out and Super Smash Bros. Of course video games will still be popular after the pandemic they were popular before the pandemic but the popularity will definitely drop a lot because you don't have to just play video games to waste time.

DeleteI like playing video games a lot. My favourite video game is Skyrim Elder scrolls 5. I think after the pandemic end people will still play video games because if you like something you don’t just give it up. I think people will have less time to play during the day and stuff but video games were popular before the pandemic, and they have multiple chains of video games stores so people must buy a lot of video games.
ReplyDeleteIm a huge game fan. Im not into the competitive stuff, I like Nintendo games a lot more than any other company. I grew up on Mario, so thats a top game for me. I also love the Pokémon series. Minecraft was really the first game I ever played nonstop with my friends. Video games are popular now and always will be. They are an incredible achievement and now that theyre getting more and more advanced they will keep making more and more money.

I've also never been interesting in playing video games because I'm usually occupied with Tiktok. I play Minecraft every once in a while with my younger sister and it's actually pretty fun. Also sometimes I play Fortnite with my brothers but they end up getting mad at me because I'm doing it all wrong. Once the pandemic ends video games will certainly will remain popular because people will still remain to play fun games until late at night, just like during the pandemic.
ReplyDeleteVideo games are so fun, they allow you to imagine a world which you cannot physically go to, but you can experience it and enjoy it nonetheless. They appeal to all ages too, they have ones to learn your numbers and letters for young children, and some exploration games to explore imaginairy worlds, they have fighting games to get your anger out, etc. I think video games will definitly still be popular after the pandemic
ReplyDeleteI don't really play video games, they aren't really my thing. But some games I play on my computer are basic games like Paper.io or Hole-io.com. They are amusing to play and I enjoy playing them with friends as well. Again I don't have much to say because I don't really play video games. I do have an Xbox 1 but my brother uses it more often and when I use it, I usually just use it to watch Netflix or something.

I don't have a favourite video game but if you count a game called shell shockers then that would probably be my favourite.
