I usually don't care about valentine's day and I find it cheesy and stupid but not this year. I find it cute to devote a day to the person you love or care for a lot. In my opinion I would find it funny to even have a day devited to all the singles out there. I don't think romantic gestures are that important, like you don't need to buy them a whole garden for valentines day because you can't really put a price on love. I think single people should spend it making fun of the people in a relationship because that's what I used to do.

DeleteI used to be a big fan of Valentine's day mostly because I got to make cute little cards and most importantly everyone in my elementary school would bring in snacks. But now Valentine’s day is just really cheesy and annoying (for single people that is). I feel like single people already show love towards another person like practically every day. Whether it’s a stranger or someone they have a crush on. Romantic gestures are required on Valentines day. If there isn’t a present or special treat from that special someone then what's the point of having Valentine’s day. I think single people should spend Valentine’s day treating themselves as if they were their own lover and Valentine.

DeleteValentines day is an okay day. I really only like it because of the chocolate and candy. If you really like someone than I don't think that you should only show it once a year. You should be nice to people all year around. Romantic gestures don't mean much more on valentines day, just because you buy someone a box of chocolate it doesn't make you so much better. If your single on valentines day then you should just eat chocolate and candy and watch a movie and/or TV show.

DeletePersonally Ive never really cared for valentines day because I think its just a little over the top. But ive seen its a special day for couples like it makes my mom and dad happy when they come home and my dad gets my mom flowers and my mom gets my dad chocolates and they enjoy the day together. I guess when im older I will get more into the day. So far in my life am just happy when other people bring in chocolates to share with the class thats what makes me like valentines day.

DeleteHonestly I'm not a huge fan of Valentine's day, the only good thing about it is that it's my birthday. Fun fact about my family, there are three people that were born on Valentine's day too, it's me, my uncle and my great great Grandma. I get the point of Valentine's day, but I don't see why it's necessary, I think we should be doing nice things for our loved ones everyday. But, I do think that romantic gestures are cute on Valentine's day, but it depends on the person. And being single myself, I will be going out on Valentine's day, buying myself chocolate, being my own or my friend's Valentine.

DeleteHello my feelings on Valentines day is that it is not the best. Of course its still kind of cool having a day that is a "little more" romantic than the other ones but I don't think that means that you should buy a whole store worth of chocolates for your fellow romanticmate because your love for them can't be expressed from money. I mean if the day is about being more romantic then I guess little gestures have a little more value. Finally if your single , maybe just vibe and think do whatever you like doing and steal chocolates from your siblings.

DeleteValentine's day to me is just like any other normal day. Usually on Valentine's day everyone would get cute little cards and lollipops from your friends and classmates. But now that we are older not many people do it anymore but I love it. I think that romantic gestures are important on Valentines day because it's a day to show your love to that special someone, by maybe giving them a thoughtful gift! On Valentines day I think that single people should definitely spend time with their friends.

DeleteValentine’s day isn’t that crazy to me. I find it’s just like any other day, but just the one day people act even more romantic, cheesy and sometimes even annoying, ( to all the single people mostly ). The only reason I loved valentine’s day was when I was in elementary school, all your classmates would bring those cute little cards and lollipops and all sorts of candy, it always brightened up my day because then we were always allowed to eat it. I feel like romantic gestures can be important, but not really on valentine’s day, I mean like, just because it’s supposed to be about love and all, doesn't mean you should ONLY be like that just on that one day to show your love for that time only. it is kind of important all the time i guess. Single people on valentine’s day, should just spend it with their pets if they have, or just relax, eat chocolate and watch netflix, that’s definitely what i’m going to be doing, i don’t know about everyone else though.

DeleteI don’t really know how I feel about Valentine’s Day because I’ve never spent it in a relationship before so I feel like a bystander on this holiday if that makes any sense. I do think we should have a day where people show kindness and love to strangers. I feel like it depends on the person when it comes to romantic gestures. Not everyone enjoys romantic gestures and prefers to spend Valentine’s Day like any other day with their partner. I usually just spend my Valentine’s Day taking advantage of the chocolates. I mean it’s not like that’s something you need someone else’s help with so it works perfect for me. I’d recommend though for other people to maybe try dating apps or ask one of your friends to set you up for the night and see how it goes.
ReplyDeleteI personally think that Valentines day is stupid. I think if you trully care about someone you’ll be nice to them all year round not on some stupid holiday. Just because you are nice to someone on valentine's day does not mean that you are nice, just because its valentines day doesn’t mean that your gesture is worth more. So personally Valentine's day is just a waste of a holiday. Instead we could celebrate things like chocolate milkshake day or Grumpy Cat’s birthday.

DeleteI think Valentine’s Day is very overrated because it’s not meant to be about chocolate sand cards but about a day meant for appreciating those you love. I don’t think that there should only be one day dedicated to showing your love because that’S what you should be doing everyday. If you really love/like someone you should be showing your appreciation to them all the time not just in one day. In addition I don't think any romantic gesture done on this day should mean anymore than it does on any other day. Doing a romantic gesture for someone you care about means that you are willing to make them happy and that’s all that matters no matter what day you do it. A single person should just enjoy the day and possibly have a day dedicated to self care. Treat yourself and maybe spend some time with your family or pets.

DeleteI guess Valentine's Day doesn't really matter to me. My parents always get me a little present and I give them a card, but we don't do anything elaborate. This year each member of the family is going to bake something as a surprise for everyone. Im making brownies. I feel like you should love people as much Feb 14 as you would any day, because its really just a random day on the calendar that was chosen by some guy to slap a Saints name on it and call it a day. The chocolate you get is always nice though.
ReplyDeleteValentines day is just a day to ruin single people for being single. You will see everyone around buying things for their lover and you sit there and alone and sad. I guess it is important to show your love to people but why on 1 single day, shouldn't you be loving that person all the time if your in a relationship with them? People should definitly still show their love on valentines day but I just don't get the point of only celebrating it in 1 day instead of having every day to celebrate your love for your partner.
ReplyDeleteI never really understood the meaning behind it. sure it's to show your affection to someone else but like why does it have to be that one day? I think it's a weird day honestly. I don't think it's more important to show romantic gestures on Valentine Day. I think it's more normal to do it but I don't think it makes it more important. Plus, this day is probably sucks for people that are single because it shows that you have no partner in life. I think people that are single just treat it like any other day.
ReplyDeleteValentines day is stupid. It is just another excuse to give people gifts. I find it really funny how some couples do big romantic gestures on Valentine’s day. The best part of Valentines day for me is my grandad comes by and drops off some money and chocolates to my brother, cousins and I but besides that there’s nothing really special about it. Single people should just make fun of other couples and treat it like any other day. Personally I don’t think I will ever find it an important day, it’s just another excuse to give people gifts and waste money. Personally I find romantic gestures like giving someone a bunch of flowers and chocolates not romantic, it’s just weird and cheesy. You’re literally going to the store and buying flowers that will probably be dead in two days, and also who likes flowers??
ReplyDeleteI never really liked Valentine's Day. It was never my favourite day since since I am not a feelings person. I don't think that there should be a day devoted to LOVE, like if you want to show someone love then just do it any day, or on their birthday and xmas, we don't need a day for it. On Valentine's Day, my parents usually just give me and my brother chocolate and we eat that during the day and watch movies, nothing that special:)

So if you’re single, Valentine’s Day is a depressing day. I don’t think that you should do grand gestures because if you wait for one day to make a romantic gesture for the person you love, then what’s the point because you shouldn’t show someone that you love them by giving them gifts.

DeleteValentine's Day is pretty dumb to be honest. Especially for single people it's downright depressing because on that day your just stuck in a loop of thinking what went wrong in previous relationships. Instead of having something like valentines day, we should have choccy milk day, where everyone gives each other chocolate milk, cause chocolate milk is amazing. If you want to show love for someone, dont just show it on this day, actually show love to the person all year round
ReplyDeleteI like the person that they named the day after Valentine because even going up against the king's law allowed soldiers to get married for their happiness. I mean I guess it's great to have a day devoted to love but if you're in a relationship isn’t that just every day, it seems like you don't need a day for that. Since Valentine's day is seen as a day of romance I would assume it means more to make a romantic gesture. Valentine's day should definitely be a day off for people and just spend it with the person you want to with.

I don't really have an opinion on Valentine's Day. To me, it's just like any other day. I think that people should be showing love every day of the year, and not just February 14. I don't think that anything like a romantic gesture is worth any more than it would normally be just because it's Valentine's Day. I just think that people only realize more romantic gestures on that day. As a single person, I think the best way to spend Valentine's Day is either with your other single friends or alone eating chocolates at home.
